Smithfield-Selma High School (SSS) recently celebrated the talents of our students and teachers through an open house called Sparta After Hours
This event held in March provided the community with an opportunity to meet with teachers, coaches, and administrative personnel while also appreciating the productivity of students.

The public had the opportunity to appreciate an art exhibit from the SSS Fine Arts department; meet the Robotics Team and the robot they made for competitions; observe science, dance, and ROTC demonstrations; watch the Latin Dancers as they perfomed in the Media Center and Front Lobby; taste the culinary creations of ProStart; enjoy snacks from Life Skills; take a school tour, guided by a member of the International Baccalaureate program; attend a mini college fair hosted by the AVID department; watch a Showcase of Stars encore performance (cover photo) featuring Spartan Regiment and Spartan Voices; enjoy a children's book show, sponsored by Teacher Cadets from Spartan Educators Rising; participate in a manga coloring session with Anime Club; make their voices heard in a mock political vote hosted by the History department; and meet athletic coaches who showcased Fall and Winter Sports videos near the Gym Lobby.

Community members who missed this year's open house will have another opportunity to appreciate our students' talent and interact with our educators next school year.
