More than just an honor roll, the NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.  These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organizations since its beginning in 1921.

Scholarship excellence requires a minimum of either a 3.5 unweighted GPA or a 3.8 weighted GPA for membership in the Spartan chapter of NHS.
