The PreACT is a statewide test for all 10th graders. PreACT, given to all sophomores in October, measures a student's academic progress. The test is aligned with the ACT test for juniors in assessing whether students are prepared for success in college and future careers. PreACT scores can be used by both students and teachers for academic instruction and focus. Students and parents are encouraged to consult the PreACT website for additional information regarding the national exam.
Smithfield Selma is administering the test October 19, 2016 and the make up test will be given October 25, 2016. Students are asked to establish an ACT Profile and independently complete the survey and interest inventory prior to the day of the test. Student scores are distributed approximately six-eight weeks after the test.
